Replacing a bonder¶
To replace a customer’s bonder, follow this process:
Image the new bonder with the same key as the device it is replacing. The bond does not need to be deleted or re-created. After it is provisioned, do not allow the new device to connect to the aggregator until the old device has been removed from the network.
Send the new bonder to the customer’s site.
Shut down the old bonder and disconnect its Internet and customer-facing connections
Connect the Internet and customer-facing connections to the same interfaces on the new bonder and start it.
The new bonder will connect to the aggregator and management server and begin forwarding customer traffic.
