Services¶
New to bonding as of version 6.4 is the notion of services, additional features bound to connected IPs to serve their network.
Prior to 6.4, the bonder offered DHCP and DNS caching services as advanced connected IP configuration options. These features are now services. Additionally, three new features are available as services to enable the various automatic address configuration methods for IPv6 networks. They are:
- DHCPv6-NA
- DHCPv6-PD
- Router Advertisement (RA)
Adding, editing, & deleting services¶
Services are displayed in the services table on the bond details page.
To add a service, click the 
button to the upper-left of the
services table, then select the desired service from the dropdown. This
will open the appropriate “add service” modal.
To edit a service, click the 
button on the service action
toolbar. This will open the appropriate “edit service” modal.
To delete a service, click the 
button on the service
action toolbar. This will ask for confirmation, and is permanent.
